BerniePope 04:52, 16 August 2006 (UTC) Possible contradiction. On page 5 it says "let" expressions appeared in Haskell 1.1 for the first time. Whereas, on page 20 it says: "The use of the function called "let" reflects the fact that "let" expressions were not in Haskell 1.0 (They appeared in Haskell 1.2)."
BerniePope 08:09, 16 August 2006 (UTC) Minor quibble. On page 42 it says that Mercury was influenced by Haskell in a number of ways, including its "syntax". I think that connection is tenuous at best. Indeed, the following web page makes a point of the fact that Haskell's and Mecury's syntaxes are different: Comparing Mercury with Haskell
