Gentle Introduction to Haskell worked for me: http://www.haskell.org/tutorial/
It?s outdated in theory (covers Haskell 98) but I would not mind.

Something similar in size and scope as the Camel book is to perl would be ideal - covering basic language idioms, with a decent language reference, but by no means exhaustive.
