</div>At work we use hardy and to get the latest haskell stuff I did<br>
the following:<br>

a) Install ghc-6.8.<br>
b) Add this to /etc/apt/sources.list:<br>
<br>
deb-src <a href="http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian" target="_blank">http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian</a> unstable main non-free contrib<br>
<br>
c) Get the sources to ghc-6.10 using:<br>
<br>
apt-get build-dep ghc6<br>
apt-get source ghc-6.10<br>
<br>
d) Build the package and install it.<br>
e) Apt get the sources to the libraries and build/install them.<br>
<br>
Its painful and you do need to be reasonably comfortable with building<br>
debian packages, but it worked for me.<br>
