patch applied (cabal-install): Allow use of curl in bootstrap.sh

  * Allow use of curl in bootstrap.sh
  Patch from jsnx. Fixes ticket #343. Also, use "cd blah; cd .."
  instead of "pushd blah; popd" as some shells lack pushd/popd
