Not quite. Ghc compiles with 5.00.2, but then ghc compiled with itself
fails immediately:

../../../ghc/compiler/ghc-inplace -ldl -cpp -fglasgow-exts -O -Rghc-timing  -package-name std -split-objs    -c PrelBase.lhs -o PrelBase.o
ghc-5.01: panic! (the `impossible' happened, GHC version 5.01):
        Oops!  Entered absent arg ww_sdqw Unique.Unique{-r3TI-}
