HEAD on XP: ghc/compiler/ghc-inplace hanging in Data/Generics/Twins.hs

Last night I did a clean HEAD build on WinXP, and ghc-inplace got stuck
in Data/Generics/Twins.hs.  I don't know how long ghc sat there.  Tried
an update and "make" this morning and got stuck in the same place.  ghc
is running, but doesn't seem to make progress (or exhaust resources).  -
