| Please review these patches -- although they work and were fairly
| straightforward changes, and some are aesthetically pleasing, some are a
| little ugly.  Should I commit? amend? rethink?  I'll feel free to commit
| on January 4th if nobody says anything earlier... people might be away
| on holiday?
