ok, simple enough - i'll try to remember that next time
(perhaps add a tip to workingconventions: bug/feature?)

that will edit the patch description. apart from that getting
burried in the email attachment, i often need to add
comments referring to the ticket review thread, most of
which belong only in the thread, not the ticket description.

urgh. 'bounce message' leads to the wrong search results,
anyway, and there seem to be separate text templates for
different reject/hold reasons, but apparently those aren't
list-specific (yet)? the topic appears in several mailman
threads, with temporary workarounds, and much hope 
for mailman 2.2..

there's always an archive link with each message, but
i suspect that anything filtered from the list will also be
filtered from the archive.
