Building GHC on Solaris

I think getting gcc to use the GNU as, as you talk about later in this
thread, is likely to be easier than fixing GHC to be compatible with
Solaris as - and even if we do fix it now, it would probably bitrot
again before the next person comes along, as we aren't able to test it.

If there are any problems that you do think should be fixed, though, it
would be very helpful if you could file them as tickets:
    http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/newticket
That way they won't get forgotten about.
