Only the question, who generates HsPlatform.h?  At the moment,
both ghc and Hugs use autoconf/autoreconf yes?  But I've always seen
autoconf as too heavyweight for nhc98 - it would be a huge amount of
work to convert.  Presumably Cabal packages have a very lightweight
config mechanism too.
