 Just as a note, I was talking with Edward about this for just a moment,
 and I'm inclined to agree with him and Richard that we should bar GND and
 `Data.Coerce` from `-XSafe` for 7.8 as this discussion goes on. It's a bit
 11th hour, but the changes are easy and safe.
