problem building for cygwin

Aha - I forgot to fix something in InteractiveUI.  It works now, albeit
only in an ordinary command shell - if you try to use it from a cygwin
terminal then it crashes when you press enter.  I think we'll stick with
plain non-readline for Windows for the time being.
