Or, if both of these strings would make the implementation awkward, one can choose a 
different but similar, "~>", "-->" (to annoy bad syntax highlighters 8-)), which is 
neither special in Haskell syntax nor a prominent operator from a library.
I wouldn't lay much stress on using the same notation as other languages. After all, we 
have (/=) instead of (!=) and it works.

I haven't needed the feature yet, but I think it would be A Good Thing™ to have it.
