It looks like I did go with GHC from a PPA:

$ dpkg -l | grep ghc
ii  ghc6                                       6.10.4-1.0~ppa2
             GHC - the Glasgow Haskell Compilation system
ii  ghc6-doc                                   6.10.4-1.0~ppa2
             Documentation for the Glasgow Haskell Compil
ii  ghc6-prof                                  6.10.4-1.0~ppa2
             Profiling libraries for the Glasgow Haskell

$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ghc.list
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/someone561/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/someone561/ppa/ubuntu jaunty main

$ lsb_release  -a

I definitely think we should file a bug report, because a lot of
people have reported the same issue with Ubuntu Jaunty 64-bit, GHC
6.10.4, and Haskell Platform. Can anybody help providing the
information? Or do we already have everything we need?

Thanks,

Paulo
