In the next version of Haskell Platform, on Mac OS X, happy will be installed with the other platform files, and symlink'd into /usr/bin.

I'm not sure what is meant by "guide" here. cabal-install has a symlink-bindir option. In the next version of Haskell Platform, on Mac OS X, if the user has no ~/.cabal directory at all, then I'm planning on having it install a ~/.cabal/config file that, among other things, will set this symlink-bindir to symlink into ~/bin.
