[Haskell-cafe] ANN: base-compat

Hi,
I just released the first version of a package that "provide new
additions to base for older versions of base" [2].  So far the following
is covered:

    readMaybe
    readEither
    lookupEnv
    getExecutablePath 

Source is on GitHub [2]; patches welcome ;)
