Haskell and bioinformatics

I think bio-informatics and functional programming is a good match.
(Hopefully, I'll be able to explore it shortly :-)

At my local neighborhood university (www.ii.uib.no, easy to find from
there), they have among other things developed a genetic search
program as a constraint solving problem, and implemented it in
Prolog.
