I am also finding the same issue occurs when trying to view a fullscreen  
flash video
with Firefox on sites such as iPlayer or Youtube. The fullscreen Flash  
video opens in
a new tile but when focus is moved to any other tile, the fullscreen tile  
disappears.

Using Xmonad 8.0 and Firefox 3.
