The solution is to buid the docs with:
> cabal haddock --hyperlink-source
or
> runghc Setup haddock --hyperlink-source
But this issue strikes other libraries too (check out recent uploads to  
hackage), so
maybe the solution is a change in the defaults for cabal or haddock.
