I'm pretty sure this is caused by switching to a workspace other than the  
ones the
windows were on, caused by conflating workspace tags and ScreenIds.   
ScreenIds are
not particularly reliable; the attached code assumes that workspace "0" is  
on screen
0 and so on, which is not necessarily true.
