 i've added a minimal test case, the mini cabalized test case has cc-
 options containing -march=native. if you have a gcc in your path that is
 newer than the apple provided one, this will work

 I'll now attache a variant that uses a more involved process so you can
 use clang instead of having to build a newer gcc if you dont have one
 handy
